Occupational Therapy

Our Pediatric Occupational Therapists are trained to promote functional independence in areas of daily living.  Their primary goal is to maximize children’s success at school, at home, and in social settings.  Occupational therapy (OT) focuses on a variety of skills including sensory function, fine motor skills, visual-motor perception, and learning difficulties.  Areas of OT treatment can include but are not limited to:
*  hand/eye coordination
*  sensory integration and sensory diets
*  Astronaut Training
*  visual perception
*  daily living skills (such as handwriting and dressing)
*  fine motor strength and functioning, feeding skills
*  focus and attention, Therapeutic Listening, ALERT Program
*  behavior management
*  assessment of a child’s need for specialized equipment
